"The purpose of 'Just For Today' is to offer a wide variety of meditational topics to recovering addicts. These topics will range from the nuts and bolts of recovery to the vast array of intangible spiritual concepts existent. This book is meant for those at any and all stages of recovery, regardless of clean time. We hope it will convey, encourage, and even inspire the joy inherent in recovery. By deliberately including a wide assortment of points of view, concepts, and issues, we hope it will encompass the diversity of our fellowship and offer each individual what he or she needs at any given time."
From the "Just For Today" - Foreword

Today, I am 22 years clean. Today I am thankful for being alive. Today I am grateful for the values I have developed. I am thankful for the ability they give me to make wise loving decisions as a responsible productive member of my community. Today I am grateful for being alive.

I am amazed so far as to what I have seen on this site. I found it a long while ago and did not bookmark it! What a mistake that was. I was searching for Tradition One and discovered the site again. God is truly in charge.

Just for today reply

Wow!! went to an NA meeting and really heard a discription of my own thoughts in my head and found that I am truly an addict, rather than an alcoholic as I have thought all these years. I do believe this reading does apply to me more than that of the daily reflection from the AA. smilies/kiss.gif
After the meeting I seen that I am not alone in the thoughts of useing, just so long as I don't act on them.smilies/cheesy.gif
